Fitting the pneumatic components
Fitting in a vertical or sloping position:
Warning
If there is a pressure failure, the work mass will slide down. Uncontrolled mov
ing masses can cause injury to people or damage to property (danger of fingers
being squashed); (moving mass = slide mass + mass of the work load).
S Read the documentation for the SPC11/200.
There you will find pneumatic circuits with which the moving mass can be
prevented from sliding down (only with servopneumatic positioning).
S Check whether non−return valves type HGL−... are required here (only if used
as a cylinder).
Select the compressed air ports.
S
In addition to the ports provided at the
factory (A), there are also the alternative
ports (B, C). These are fitted with plug
screws.
With variant ...−D2 (with bilateral air
ports) the air cannot be supplied on one
side only.
Setting the slide speed (only cylinder):
Use one−way flow control valves of type GRLA−... .
S
For controlling the DGP(L)−... (only cylinder):
Use 3/2−way valves (in basic position
S
open) for both compressed air ports or:
Use proportional directional control valve
S
type MPYE−5−... .
Only in this way will the piston remain
held clamped between the end positions.
Please note
The circuit in Fig. 19 is not suitable for stopping the slide in the event of a
pressure failure. Clamping unit variant DGPK−... is used for this purpose.
