Testing the system

7
After installation, the load cells should be tested.
Connect the load cells to a Tru-Test indicator.
1
The Tru-Test indicator should automatically identify and calibrate to the load cells, then show it is ready for weighing
with "0.0" on the display. If this does not happen you may need to update the software in your Tru-Test indicator. For
other brands of indicator, contact their local representative as you may need to calibrate.
Turn on and zero the indicator.
2
Put a test weight (which may be yourself or another person) at one end of the chute/crush and note the stable reading
3
on the indicator.
Put the test weight at the other end of the chute/crush and note the stable reading on the indicator.
4
Remove the test weight and note whether the reading returns to zero.
5
If the two readings differ by more than 5 lbs (2 kg) OR the reading does not return to zero, see the
6
section.
Four terminal blocks with levers are provided.
Before inserting the wires, ensure that you fully open the levers to a 90-degree
1
upright position.
Insert the load cell wires and the indicator wire of the same colour (e.g. red-red) in
2
each of the terminal blocks.
Secure by pushing down the levers.
