Startup
Once the power is turned back on to the device, the green "Power On"
LED should be illuminated.
1.
Open a service point or tap in the system.
2. The pump should start and the yellow "Pump On" LED
should be illuminated.
3. The pump will run for several seconds to start the system.
You should begin to see water flowing from the faucet.
a. If this time is insufficient the pump will stop and the
red LED will blink.
b. Press and hold the "Restart" button until the red LED
turns off and water flows from the faucet.
4. Close the service point and the pump will shut off in a few
seconds. The yellow "Pump On" LED should be off now. If the
pump does not shut off, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
5. Your device is ready to control your pump every time you use
water in the building.
ACTIVATION
Hazardous Pressure
In a booster application, if the pressure
generated by main water supply together
with the pump is too high, install a pressure
reducing valve. Maximum system working
pressure is not to exceed 174 psi
(400 ft of head).

System Start/Stop Operation
The device is factory calibrated to activate the pump when system
pressure drops below 22 psi (1.5 bar) or a flow demand of 0.25 gpm
(1 L/min). If either of those events are observed in the system, the
device should activate the pump. If the pump starts due to a pressure

drop below 22 psi (1.5 bar), to ensure the system shuts off properly,
the pump must produce 20 psi beyond the set/low pressure activation
point. For example, if the pump starts on a low pressure of 22 psi, the
pump shut-off pressure must be greater than 42 psi. Additionally, to
ensure that the low pressure cut-in functions properly, the column of
water (static pressure) above the pumps discharge or the maximum
vertical distance between the pump and the highest discharge outlet
should be limited to 50 ft.

adjust the low pressure cut-in to a higher value. The pump differential
of 20 psi is still required for proper shut-off operation of the system.
Additionally, to ensure that the low pressure cut-in functions properly,
the column of water (static pressure) above the pumps discharge or
the maximum vertical distance between the pump and the highest
discharge outlet should be limited to 50 ft.
Setting the Activation Pressure
(only applies to certain models)
To change the activation pressure of the device,
press and hold the "Set" button for 3 seconds.
Repeat until you have selected the desired
pressure indicated by the green LED light.
Automatic Restart
In the event of a run dry situation, the device will automatically make
10 attempts over the next 24 hours at various set time intervals. Each
attempt is approximately 5 seconds to allow for prime it required.
After the 24-hour period, the red LED will blink and you must press
the "Restart" button to perform a manual reset.
NOTE: In the event of a power outage, the device will
automatically reset once power returns.
Anti Pump-Lockup Start
If for any reason the pump remains idle for 24 consecutive hours,
the device will carry out an autorun feature to keep the system free
of debris and clogs. The pump/motor will run for approximately
5 seconds during this test.
