2. Technical instructions for installation and adjustment,
intended for the installer
When unpacking, check cooktop for
damage during transport.
In the event of problems, contact the dealer
or your nearest After-Sales Service.
Technical information for the
installer:
• Before installation, make sure that the
local gas delivery conditions (nature and
pressure) are compatible with the settings
of the appliance.
• Adjustment conditions of this appliance
are described on the label (or data plate).
• This cooktop shall not be connected to
a fume exhaust device.
It shall be installed in accordance with
current installation regulations.
Particular attention shall be given to the
relevant requirements regarding
ventilation.
• The room where the cooktop is to be
installed must have proper ventilation
according to standard NTC 3631
2st update: 2011-12-14.
• This product can be embedded in a
worktop 20 to 60 mm thick.
• See "Troubleshooting Guide" to check for
proper operation of burners.
• If there is no oven beneath the cooktop,
insert a separator panel that has a
surface at least equal to the opening in
the work surface. This panel must be
positioned at a maximum distance of
150 mm below the upper surface of the
work surface but, in no case, less than
20 mm from the bottom of the cooktop.
Should you want to install an oven under
the cooktop, make sure it is of the brand

Whirlpool, and that it is equipped with a
refrigeration system. The manufacturer is
not responsible for any incidents if the
oven installed is of a brand other than
Whirlpool.
• Before installation, make sure that:
- The outer surfaces of the furniture or
appliances adjacent to the cooktop are
heat resistant according to local
regulations.
- Combustion products are discharged
outdoors through specific hoods or wall
and/or window mounted electrical fans.
• For proper installation and operation of
the gas cooktop, follow the following
standards:
- NTC2505 (Installations to supply gas to
residential and commercial buildings).
- NTC2832-1 (Gas cooktops. Safety
requirements).
- NTC3632 (Installation of gas cooktops).

2.1 Assembly

A general description of the gas equipment
is in paragraph 3.1 of this manual.
After having cleaned the
perimeter surface,
apply the supplied
gasket to the cooktop
as shown in the figure.
Position the cooktop in the worktop opening
made respecting the dimensions indicated in
the installation instructions.
