Operation
Protective clothing
- If possible, wear designated gloves for protection from splinters and shavings.
- While working, wear designated protective goggles, flying shavings can cause injury.
- Wear hearing protection for protection against continuous noise in the work place.
- Wear a designated dust mask for protection against airborne dust.
NOTA
Cuando se trabaja con herramientas eléctricas a la intemperie, conectarlas a un interruptor
diferencial.
¡NOTA!
To turn on/off. Short duration operation
- Pus a head and press On/Off switch (3) ➞ machine runs.
- Press again On/Off switch (3) ➞ machine stops.
Working with metal:
Beware of "flying sparks" as soon as the disc comes into contact with metal.
Working with soft metals:
the disc can easily deteriorate when working with aluminum and other soft metals. In this cases, immediately
replace the disc.
Grinding out cavities and channels:
Make sure that the angle-grinding action remains smooth when grinding out cavities and other similar
things. This is to avoid any cracking of the workpiece.
Cutting thin sheet metal:
Place the machine carefully onto the sheet. Immediately take the angle-grinder off of the sheet when it has
been cut through, to avoid damage.
Advice for working:
- Wait until the machine reaches its highest rotation speed. Then you can place the angle-grinder on the
workpiece and begin working.
- Do not over-exert the angle-grinder. Over-exertion leads to reduced speed and output. In addition, the
motor of your angle-grinder can become damaged through over-exertion. Therefore, do not attempt to
increase the working speed of your angle-grinder by putting more pressure on it. The grinding discs work
more efficiently when only light pressure is applied to the angle-grinder.
- The shut down of the angle-grinder under high strain will reduce the life of the operating switch.
- Should the machine heat up intensely, allow it to run idle for two to three minutes so that the motor can
cool down to normal operating temperature.
Grinding/roughing
- Optimal working angle of the disc on the workpiece is for grinding: 15-30º. Through this, you achieve
optimal work output and avoid over-exertion.
- Guide the grinding disc carefully over the workpiece and wear down the top layer without exerting great
pressure on the machine.
