Please read the following operating instructions carefully. They will help you to get the best performance from this
professional quality vacuum cleaner and maintain it in optimum condition.
Follow these simple steps for easy and effective operation of the Backpack vacuum.
1. Unlatch two latches and remove the lid to ensure that the cloth bag is installed (Fig. 4). For optimum filtration
and maximum hygiene, it is advisable to use a paper vacuum bag in addition to the standard cloth bag.
To install paper bag, simply insert the bag inside the cloth bag (Fig. 5). Make sure that the cardboard collar is
centered on the cloth bag's flexible sealing ring. When you replace the lid, the short nozzle in the center of the
lid will be forced into the central hole of the cardboard collar of the paper vacuum bag thus providing a tight
seal. Make sure the paper vacuum bag is tightly secured over the short nozzle before vacuuming. Lock the lid
down with the two latches.
Always ensure that the vacuum bag is empty before vacuuming. The backpack vacuum cleaner is equipped
with a thermal overload switch to protect motor against damage should the airflow become obstructed for an
extended period. (See Thermal Fuse Protection).
2. Insert the vacuum hose into the lid and connect the extension cord to the vacuum cleaner (Fig. 6 and Fig. 7).

3. IMPORTANT: Loop the yellow extension cord through the cord strain relief clip as shown (fig. 7). Do not remove
cord strain relief clip from machine. If clip is missing, replace before operating machine.
4. Mount the backpack vacuum cleaner on your back as described below;
a. Fully loosen the shoulder straps and waist belt.
b. Place the backpack vacuum cleaner on your back so that the weight of the unit rests
on your hips then fasten the waist belt and tighten (Fig. 8).
c. Pull the two gray shoulder adjustment straps downward to pull the top of the backpack
vacuum cleaner towards your back (Fig. 9).
d. Connect the shoulder straps together with the front cross strap (Fig. 10).
e. Finally, pull the lower shoulder adjustment straps downward to position the backpack
vacuum cleaner snug against your back (Fig. 11).

IMPORTANT: The weight of the backpack vacuum cleaner should rest comfortably on your hips, not your
