13 - LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE MEMORY
As said in Chapter 8, you can memorize new transmitters using a previously memo-
rized transmitter. When doing so, if another Nice transmitter with rolling code encod-
ing is transmitting in the vicinity of the dimmer, there is a risk that it be unintentionally
memorized in the dimmer. To avoid this, you can lock the dimmer's memory as follows.
13.1 - Locking/unlocking the memory (using a previously
memorized transmitter)
This procedure can only be done with a Mode I transmitter.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Hold down the button n on the transmitter; wait for the dimmer's led to flash
once green and the lamp to increase its brightness to the maximum. Now re-
lease the button.
02. Hold down the button t on the transmitter; wait for the dimmer's led to briefly
flash green 2 times and the lamp to decrease its brightness to 10%. Now release
the button.
03. Hold down the button s on the transmitter; wait for the dimmer's led to briefly
flash green 3 times and the lamp to increase its brightness to 50%. Now release
the button.
04. Hold down the button s on the transmitter; wait for the dimmer's led to briefly
flash green 4 times and the lamp to decrease its brightness to 10%. Now release
the button.
05. Select the desired option from the list:
• to lock the memory (= use button s);
• to unlock the memory (= use button n).
Now hold down the transmitter button indicated in the option in question; wait
for the led to flash green 2 times and turn off. Now release the button.
