Switch the tool off, unplug it and
wait for the tines to stop turning.
1. Pull the safety clips over the bolts (25)
and pull out the bolts.
2. Pull out the outer chopper (10) from
the drive shaft (9).
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to remove the
middle
chopper.
4. Loosen the self-securing nut from the
hexagonal bolt (24). Use two open­en-
ded spanners (AF13) for this purpose.
5. Pull out the inner chopper (10) from
the drive shaft (9).
6 . Clean the drive shaft (9) using biode-
gradable oil.
7. Slide the new chopper (10) onto the
drive shaft (9) in such a way that the
holes on the blade axis line up with the
holes on the drive shaft (9).
Ensure the rotary direction of
the choppers (10) is correct.
The bevelled edge of the chop-
per (10) must point in the direc-
tion of travel of the chopper (10)
towards the ground.
The direction of travel is mar-
ked on the appliance housing
with an arrow.
8. Slide the hexagonal bolt (24)
through the hole situated close to
the gears (8) and screw in a new
self-securing nut (contained within
the delivery scope of a new chop-
per).
9. Slide the bolts (25) through the ho-
les and secure them using safety
clips.
Mount the bolts' safety clips
(
25) so that they close con-
trary to the running direction of
the choppers.

Storage

Leave the motor to cool down before
you put the tool into a closed space.
Keep the tool clean, dry and out of the
reach of children.
Do not cover the tool in plastic bags
as moisture may form.
Folding the device
The device can be folded to save space.
Loosen the upper wing nuts (20a) and fold
the fork handles (1) downwards.
Make sure that the cable does not be-
come jammed.
Do not use the tool with the han-
dle folded closed. There is a risk
of injury!
Disposal, environmental
protection
Be environmentally friendly. Return the
tool, accessories and packaging to a recy-
cling centre when you have finished with
them.
Do not dispose of electrical appli-
ances in household waste.
Return the tool to a recycling centre. The
plastic and metal parts used can be sepa-
rated and sorted for recycling. Ask our
service centre for details.
