Notes on safe use
• First remove the adhesive label.
• Thoroughly wash the pan in hot soapy water and dry it carefully.
• Do not use metal cooking utensils and do not use knives to cut food in the
pan. This can cause scratches and incision marks in the nonstick coating,
which can affect the nonstick action.
• Do not leave pots and pans unattended during use. Keep out of the reach of
children.
• Do not put the product over too high a heat, and never heat an empty pan for
a long period: risk of overheating!
• Handles must not be positioned above hot rings on the hob: risk of burning!
• When using the product in the oven, use potholders or oven gloves.
• Take particular care when using hot fat.
• Never use water to extinguish burning fat.
• To extinguish burning fat, cover the pan to suffocate the flames.
• To avoid accidents, the product should only be used if the handle is firmly
attached. If the screws have come loose, tighten them using a screwdriver.
Note for electric hobs
To make better use of energy, the diameter of the hob ring should match that
of the base of the pot or pan.
Note for induction hobs
An induction hob is an extremely rapid source of heat. Do not heat empty pots
and pans as these can be damaged through overheating. At high tempera-
tures you may hear a buzzing sound; this is due to the technology. It does not
represent a fault in your hob or in the product. The diameter of the base of the
pot or pan must match the size of the cooktop on the induction hob. If the base
diameter is too small, in particular, it may be the case that the hob's magnetic
field is not activated.
