Device protection
Risk of injuries or material damage.
The permissible operating pressure
¾
of 6.3 bar must not be exceeded, if
necessary use a pressure reducer.
To avoid damage caused by contaminated com-
pressed air, a compressed air service unit must be
installed in the airline system. Where hose lengths
of longer than 10 m are used, the device must be
equipped with a small air line lubricator because
otherwise the supply of oil is not guaranteed. The
compressed air supply must be adequately sized!
Start-up

Compressed air supply

For trouble-free operation of the device, a sufficient
supply of filtered, dry, oiled compressed air is
required.
— If compressed air is generated using compressors,
the air humidity naturally present condenses out
and collects as condensation in the pressure tank
and pipe lines.

CAUTION !
— This condensation must be removed by a water
separator.
Check and drain the water separator daily, oth-
erwise corrosion can arise in the compressed air
system and the device resulting in increased wear.
Outlets that are provided for the devices should
be equipped with a compressed air service
unit (filter/water separator/oiler) directly at the
coupling point. Check oilers daily and fill with the
recommended oil.
The air volume is as important as the air pressure.
Dirt in the hose connectors or water in the system
can impair the air flow so that an insufficient volume
of air is available although the indicated pressure is
sufficiently high.
Before the device is examined for a fault, the air
supply and the compressed air source must first
be checked for possible causes that could impede
the volume flow (dirt, water).
Connecting the device to a com-
pressed air supply
Attention !
The device drive must always be adequately
lubricated.
Oil the device before first use, then oil daily.
¾
If the tool has not been used for several days,
¾
manually add about 5 drops of pneumatic oil to
the compressed air connection.
Attention !
Operate only with clean, dry compressed air at a
regulated pressure of 6.3 bar.
Risk of injury due to the failure
of quick-release couplings and
consequently uncontrolled flailing
hoses.
Do not use quick release couplings
¾
directly at the device nor closer
than 20 cm to the device.
Screw the hose connection [7] on to the com-
pressed air connection [6] of the device.
Push a suitable hose clamp [8] on to the com-
pressed air hose [9].
Push the compressed air hose [9] up to the stop
on the hose connector [7].
Tighten the hose clamp [8] just before the end of
the compressed air hose [9].
DANGER !
