Test For Ground Continuity
Check the power cord and make sure that it is in perfect condition.
Using an ohmmeter, test the resistance from the suction inlet to the ground pin of the plug not to exceed 10 Ohms
Test for Hose Continuity Path
Attach the conductive suction hose to the inlet of the machine.
Using an appropriate continuity tester, measure the resistance between the accessory coupling and the inlet of the machine.
The resistance of this continuity path should not exceed 1 Gigaohm
