Positioning & care
For optimum stereo imaging, space the speakers at least 50 cm (20 in) apart (A) and sit no closer than 50 cm (B).
Angle them slightly inward towards your ears. The coaxial driver has a 150° dispersion angle from a point-source
so positioning is less critical than with a traditional two-driver speaker where the axis of the tweeter and mid-
woofer must align. Bass will be strongest with the speakers closer to a wall (especially a corner), though too close
and the bass can become "boomy". Some experimentation may be necessary to find the best balance to suit your
room and personal preference.

The durable powder-coated finish is not easily scratched or damaged but as with any electronic device, care
should be taken in the handling of the ESSENCE. Clean the surface with a lightly damp lint-free cloth but avoid
touching the connection plugs. Do not use alcohol or other solvents. Due to the unique modular assembly of the
system, it is not possible to remove the grill covers. Do not touch the grills to avoid damaging the driver behind.
The ESSENCE has been designed primarily for indoor use at temperatures between 10-35° C (50-95° F). Keep
away from water and other sources of liquid and protect from dampness.
Place on a stable, level surface with sufficient air circulation. Do not block air flow around the bottom bass port.
For the best sound quality, do not enclose in a small space. Enjoy the music, and remember, prolonged exposure
to loud listening may cause hearing damage. Turn the volume down if you hear abnormal levels of distortion and
stop listening if you experience ringing in your ears.
