3. Intended use

Truchet Acoustic Tiles are designed exclusively for use as office furniture for commercial applications. Any
other use, or use beyond the specified intended use is considered improper use. Improper use of the
product may result in dangers to life and limb as well as property damage. For this reason, improper use is
prohibited. In case of improper use, Steelcase assumes no liability for any damage that may occur and does
not guarantee that the components will function properly.
Possible improper use includes:
Use as a climbing or scaling aid

Use as a swing

Attachment of pinnable objects

Storage of objects

Outdoor use

Use in damp rooms


4. Product description

Truchet Acoustic Tiles are versatile sound-absorbing plates in three-dimensional form, which on average
absorb 90% of external sound waves (sound coefficients: class A). The five different tile shapes allow an
infinite number of possible designs (see image).
Truchet Acoustic Tiles are available in the following three applications:
