Show some love for your shocks! Carry out regular visual inspections of your shocks to identify
signs of wear, especially after heavy off road use. Rinse them off with water after off road use
and don't let them dry with dirt or mud on them.
-
The Bilstein 2.65" Prerunner shocks are completely self-adjusting and don't require external

-
Never change the nitrogen pressure for any reason. Incorrect nitrogen pressure will result in
irreversible shock damage and loss of official warranty.
-
For optimum performance in off road use it is mandatory to check the available compression
length once installed. Ideally there will be 6"/150mm of available compression with the vehicle
static and normally loaded. 5"/125mm is the minimum available compression. To check the
available compression measure the visible portion of the rod including the three stage orange
bumpstop with the vehicle at rest.
-
It is mandatory to correctly install extension limiters that stop the shock 10mm before the end
of its travel to avoid internal damages and/or premature wear and failure of valves and pistons.
The warranty will not cover and damages caused by wrong installation or omission of limiting
straps.
-
If you frequently drive in environments with high salinity we recommend an upgrade to
stainless steel bearings.
