SALKI AC 230V AIR COMPRESSOR
PRODUCT DESCRIPITON AND HOW TO USE
230V SALKI AIR COMPRESSORS has been designed to perform a multitude of inflation tasks: tires and
inflatable boats included. Using it properly will deliver many years of trouble – free service. Before using the
230V SALKI air compressor, read the owner manual for information regarding the most efficient and safety
method of operation.
Pressure gauge
It's calibrated both in PSI (pounds per square inch) and kg / cm
you are reading the proper scale when measuring inflation. Check the maximum pressure for this unit. Do not
inflate beyond the pressure of the unit, neither beyond the pressure recommended by the manufacturer of the
item you are inflating. To obtain an accurate pressure reading, turn the compressor off when reading the gauge.
he air hose provided with the compressor is 0,9 m (36") length, the thumb-latch valve adaptor is permanently
affixed to the hose. To use the adapter simple, push the open adaptor with the lever in the upright position,
down over the threaded portion of the tire valve. To lock in place, push the lever down to the horizontal position.
In a similar manner, if you wish to use one of the three accessories provided, slip the adapter down over the
accessory, with the lever in the upright position, to lock in place, push the lever down to the horizontal position.
Inflating accessories
SALKI 230V HEAVY DUTY compressor comes with 3 inflation accessories (ball needle nozzle, and two red
and blue adapters for other inflation elements) and the PORTABLE HOUSE & GARAGE with these 3 same
accessories + Black air nozzles.
1.- Red: Universal inflating nozzle, for use with such items as air mattresses and beach balls.
2.- Needle type inflator for use with such items as basket balls, footballs and volley balls
.
3.- Blue: Air nozzle for use where an air stream is desired, ie: dusting or cleaning purpose.
4.- Black: For higher flow and other conexions.
On / Off switch
To turn on, press the switch on the sport marked "ON", to turn off, press the switch down to the sport marked "OFF".
Grounding instructions
Unit must be securely and adequately grounded. See grounding instructions and extension cord information in this manual. Improper
use of grounding plug can result in a possible risk of electrical shock.
1.- This product must be grounded in the event of an electrical short circuit, grounded reduces risk of electrical shock by providing
an escape wire for electric current. This product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with and appropriated grounding
plug. Plug much be plugged into and outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
2.- If repair or replacement of cord of plug is necessary, do not connect grounding wire to either flat blade terminal. The grounding
wire has insulation and an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes.
3.- Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman to ensure product if properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided. If plug
will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
Extension cords
1.- Make sure extension cord is in good condition and heavy enough to carry the current the product will draw. An undersized cord
will cause a drop-in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating.
2.- This unit is designed to be used on a 230V AC circuit. Voltage drops of more than 10% will cause a loss of power and overheating.
3.- The below chart, shows correct size to use depending on cord length, if in doubt, use next heavier gauge.
NOTE: The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord. 1 Amp. Volts 230V.
