Height below the user: in a fall arrest system it is essential to check the
clear space below the user before each use to avoid hitting the ground or
any obstacle in the event of a fall.
The user must have a rescue plan in place in order to deal with any
emergency that might occur during the work.
For your own safety, install a second safety system, e.g. doubling the
carabiners, doubling the safety rope.
Before and after each use, it is obligatory to check the state of the tapes
and stitching, including those which are inaccessible. Do not hesitate to
scrap any product with faults that might reduce its strength or limit its
functioning.
During use, it is important to regularly check the state of the product and its
connections to other parts of the system.
Evaluate risks related to the tasks to be carried out, duration, frequency,
postures, etc.
Avoid rubbing with abrasive materials and cutting edges, sharp angles and
prolonged exposure to UV light.
All chemicals, corrosive materials and solvents can be dangerous, as well
as possibly affecting the equipment's features (petrol, alcohol, motor oil,
varnish, liquid from batteries...)
Avoid contact with mud or dust, sea water and corrosive or aggressive
materials in general.
The temperature of use or storage should never exceed 80ºC. Study of the
place where the work will be carried out, as well as the machinery, the
environment, the equipment, materials to be used, etc.
All equipment must be removed from use in case of: doubts about its
reliability (visual verification), after a fall, due to an unreadable label, lack
of instructions for use or technical data sheet.
The anchor to which the lanyard, connector or fall arrest system is attached
should preferably be located above the user's position. The minimum
resistance of each of them must be 15 kN.
Check the correct tension of the ribbon and the connection of the
complementary devices connected to the equipment. This check must be
done regularly if the period of use is long and if there are large differences
in temperature and / or humidity.
5 – MAINTENANCE
In case of doubt as to the safety of this device or any component in the
safety chain, it must be replaced immediately.
All modifications and repairs anywhere other than our production units are
prohibited. Any repairs must be carried out by a competent person

moderate dirt or in the absence of dangerous pathogens, with clean water
that does not exceed 50ºC in temperature and a neutral soap.
Always avoid the use of bleach or any non-neutral detergent.
When the equipment presents contamination of products with toxic risk,
send it to a specialized company for its adequate decontamination and
control of waste disposal.
Dry in a shaded, well-aired, cool place away from any possible heat source
(sun, heating, chimney, fire, hairdryer, etc.).
The tapes may shrink slightly on drying.
Grease stains can be removed with a grease remover, taking due
precautions.
7 – STORAGE
Before fitting it into the suit, always transport and store this device in its
original packaging.

the structure of the equipment.
Avoid keeping it in sealed plastic bags, as they can retain harmful humidity.
Do not leave the SEC-LVHxx in a vehicle exposed to the sun (through the
windows or even in the boot temperatures can rise to 50ºC).
8 – TRANSPORT AND DURATION
Always transport and store this device in its original packaging.
All components of individual protective equipment age, especially textiles
(tapes, harnesses, etc.), even when not used. Their average life varies
widely, and depends especially on its composition, frequency of use and
scrupulous adherence to the checks recommended by Industrias
MURTRA S.A.
User safety is linked to maintenance, efficiency and the toughness of the
equipment.
For information, the following periods can serve as a guide on the durability
of the product:
- Intensive use: 6 months to 1 año.
- Medium use: 2 to 3 years.
- Occasional use: 4 to 5 years.
After first use and without taking wear into account, this product can have
a useful life of 5 years. Do not use any textile component of the equipment
that exceeds this, even if its outward appearance is good or it has only been
used occasionally.
As a safety measure, never use a component of the equipment that has
suffered a major fall. Internal breakages invisible to the eye can reduce its
strength and therefore limit its functioning.
It must be destroyed if it shows significant anomalies: friction, fraying,
abrasions, burns, deformations or liquid stains.
In case of doubt, contact Industrias MURTRA S.A.
As well as the above checks before and after every use, we recommend
having the product thoroughly examined by qualified staff at least every 12
