3.2 ELECTRICAL OPERATION
The operation of the circuit breaker by electrical control is executed by means of the motorized drive and by the
closing and opening coils, accessories installed internally in the circuit breaker.
The motorized drive loads the springs of the operation mechanism automatically, whenever the circuit breaker
is turned off, an operation which ends after approximately 5s. The power supply of the motor is executed by the
terminals U1 and U2. In order to turn on the circuit breaker, when its springs are loaded, a voltage pulse is applied
to the terminals of the closing coil (A1 and A2). In order to turn off the circuit breaker, a voltage pulse is applied
to the terminals of the opening coil (C1 and C2). In circuit breakers equipped with a subvoltage coil, the circuit
breaker can be turned off cutting the power supply of this coil (D1 and D2).
