Battery backup system
This system supplies the data memory in the vehicle with electricity when the battery has
been removed.
Thus electronic data, such as the radio or the navigation code, are preserved when the
starter battery is disconnected.
The system is equipped with a voltage monitor that generates an acoustic and optical
warning signal when the voltage drops below the level necessary for saving the data.

Before starting operation
Before connecting the system, all electrical consumers of the vehicle must be
switched off, particularly ignition, interior and boot illumination.

The system may only be operated by trained personnel.
