Boiling water
Hints and tips:
The water boiler is equipped with a filter (8) that holds back scale residues or similar.
For cleaning purposes it can be removed completely by pulling out the hook at the
top end and then removing the filter (8).
When the water has cooled down, just push down the on / off switch (6) again and
restart the boiling process.
The switch will automatically shut off if the boiler is removed from the base station
before or during the boiling process.
Always use non-fizzy, fresh, cold mineral or tap water. Never fill the water tank with
milk, ready coffee, tea etc.
1. Insert the mains plug in a power socket.
2. Switch on the appliance with the on / off switch (5) on the back of the base station
(9).
3. Take the water boiler (1) off the base station, open the lid by pushing the open
button (3) and fill it with the desired amount of water (MIN 0.5 L, MAX 1.7 L).
NOTE: If there is too little water the appliance switches off before the water
boils.
CAUTION: Do not fill the water boiler above the MAX marking. Water may
overflow and the heating element could become damaged. If the water boiler is
overfilled there is the risk of boiling water spurting out.
4. Push the lid (2) down until you hear it click in place.
5. Put the boiler on the base station (9). Due to the 360° rotating system, you can
place it on the base in any position you like.
Caution: Water must not enter the base station (9)!
6. Push the on / off switch (6) down. The red signal lamp (7) light up.
7. The water boils very quickly. The on-off switch (6) turns off automatically and the
signal lamp (7) goes off.
Before you switch on the water boiler (1) again, let it cool down for 15 to 20 seconds. To
start the boiling process again, push the on / off switch (6) back down again.
