Hooking up Your Trailer
1. Quick Release or Nutted Axle: Remove quick release skewer or nut from the
left side of bike's rear wheel axle. Install hitch between quick release or nut and
frame (Figure 24). Tighten the quick release or nut following manufacturer's
recommendation. The hitch can remain on the bike when trailer is removed.

2. Hooking the tow bar to the hitch: Insert flex connector between the two tabs on
the hitch (Figure 26), such that all the holes are aligned. Insert retaining pin and
close retainer (Figure 27). Wrap safety strap around the frame of the bike twice
and latch to the D-ring on the tow bar (Figure 28). The strap and latch should not
be making contact with the spokes.
3. Removing the tow bar from the hitch: Unlatch the safety strap from the D-Ring
and unwrap it from the frame of the bike. Open the retainer on the retaining pin

and remove it. Then remove the flex connector from the hitch.
