all components of the frame are regularly checked for a
secure and tight fit. • To prevent injury from falls, when the
child is able to climb out of the cot, the cot shall no longer
be used for that child. • It is recommended that the mattress
supplied by the manufacturer is used. The thickness (25mm
maximum) of the mattress shall be such that the internal
height (surface of the mattress to the upper edge of the
cot frame) is at least 500mm. The size (900mm x 700mm)
of the mattress shall be such that there is no gap greater
than 30mm between the mattress and the sides and ends
of the cot.
