Question/Problem - Cause
Cause
The engine does not start:
• There's no fuel in the carburettor;
• There's no fuel in the tank;
Fuel line hose is clogged;
Fuel line hose incorrectly assembled or folded;
• The fuel in the tank is of poor quality, has water, is
dirty or is already old;
• The cap has been removed from the spark plug;
The spark plug wire is not well connected;
• The spark plug has soot or is damaged; Wrong gap
between the electrodes;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The fuel filter is clogged;
• The combustion engine is "wet" due to many
attempts for starting it;
Low performance:
• Improper fuel mixture;
• Improper throttle cable adjustment;
• Fuel filter or valves are clogged, carburettor defect;
The engine runs irregularly and smokes:
• The air filter is dirty;
The combustion engine overheats:
• Ventilation slots are dirty;
Strong vibrations while operating:
• Loose engine housing;
Solution
• Press the carburettor primer bulb several times until it
is full of fuel;
• Fill the tank with fuel;
Clean the fuel line hose;
Place the fuel hose correctly or straighten it;
• Empty the fuel tank and carburettor primer bulb;
Use new fuel (proper mixture).
• Fit the cap into the spark plug;
Connect it;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
Adjust the gap between the electrodes;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean the fuel filter;
• Loosen the spark plug and dry it, pull the recoil starter
several times, with the spark plug unscrewed;
• Use appropriate fuel mixture;
• Adjust the throttle cable;
• Replace or repair faulty parts;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean the ventilation slots;
• Tighten the engine fixing bolts;
