3.1 Video connection

Depending on your TV and other equipment, the DVD Player has various connection options. Use only one of the
described methods.
1: RGB via Scart
2: S-Video
3: Scart without RGB
4: Composite Video
Video

Audio
5: Optical output
6: Coaxial output
7: 5.1-channel
8: Stereo
3.2 Conventional/analog audio connection:
Use the audio cord to connect the DVD Player's audio output to corresponding input on the amplifier or stereo system.
Analog 5.1-channel output (built-in Dolby Digital AC-3 decoder)
The DVD Player has a direct Dolby 5.1-channel audio output. Therefore, all you have to do is connect the cords to the
amplifier. Please refer to your amplifier manual for additional information on correct setup (the cables are not included with
the DVD Player).
3.2 Advanced/Digital audio connection:
Connect the Player's digital audio output (optical: 5 or coaxial: 6) to the corresponding input on the amplifier.
- Special cords are required for this purpose.
Change the DVD Player's settings in the "Audio" Setup menu. Please refer to your amplifier manual for additional
information on correct setup.

RGB via the Scart jack is one way of connecting the DVD Player to your TV. Check your TV ma-
nual to see if it supports RGB.
S-Video is another way of connecting the DVD Player to the TV. This requires a recent model TV
with an S-Video input (the cable is not included).
A Scart adapter is the most common way of connecting the TV to your DVD Player.
The Scart adapter transmits both picture and sound directly to your TV.
Composite Video is a simple transfer of video signals via a phono cable.
