The LED 'Ready' lights up red. If the LED only lights
up weakly then the mains plug should be reversed.
Touch the Contact electrode (6)
Should there be a protective conductor failure then this
will be indicated as in the display. The socket then has
to be checked
Press the Test key (4)
The RCD should trip if it is working properly and if the
correct nominal current has been selected.
Monitoring of the contact voltage occurs both before
and after the test and is indicated by means of the LED
' UB>25V (2). Should the contact voltage be too high
then the push button is automatically locked out (4).
This makes it therefore impossible to trip the RCD.

5.0 Maintenance

Provided it is used in accordance with the Instruction Ma-
nual, the instrument needs no special maintenance. If it
should become soiled in the course of daily use, it may be
cleaned with a damp cloth and a little mild household de-
tergent. Never use aggressive cleaners, or solvents.

6.0 Fuse Replacement

Prior to fuse replacement, disconnect test instrument
from all measurement circuits.
Only use fuses with voltage and current values as in-
dicated in the technical data.
Loosen the four screws on instrument rear (lower in-
strument part)
Carefully lift lower from upper instrument part.
Remove the faulty fuse from fuse holder.
Insert new fuse of same size and same characteristics.
Ensure that fuse is inserted and tightened correctly
into holder.
Replace casing bottom onto casing top.
Retighten the four screws.
