Sensor

Life Plus has a Sensor Input that can be connected to any type of sensor with a dry
contact switch.
Life Plus can be configured to work with either a Normally Open or a Normally Closed
dry contact switch.
The sensor can then be in its Normal or Active status.
Switch Type
Switch Open
N.O.
Normal Status
N.C.
Active Status
To avoid false readings, when the sensor switch changes status from open to close
and vice-versa, the new status must be maintained for a time longer than the Sensor
Delay time set by the user, plus 1 second.
Only after the Sensor Delay has elapsed the sensor status in considered Normal or
Active.
It is possible to control the irrigation Programs based on the Sensor Status becoming
Active.
Note: It is possible to select only 1 single Program, A, B, C or D, or ALL Programs.
Note: Sensor input is not tested when:
• 24Vac is missing
• Control Panel is removed from its Back Module
• A Valve is activated Manually
• An Hydraulic Test is running
• Life Plus is in Pause/Rain.

Water Meter

Life Plus has a Water Meter input that can be connected to any type of Water Meter
with pulsed dry contact output.
The Water Meter input can be used for the following meter functions:
• Water usage (with installed WiFi option connected to Internet)
• Overflow control to monitor excessive water flow
• Underflow control to monitor insufficient water flow
Switch Closed
• Loss control to monitor water losses.
Active Status
Normal Status
Meter Overflow and Meter Underflow.
To let the hydraulic system stabilize before start testing for Meter Overflow or Meter
Underflow, a delay can be set from the time all stations are OFF to the time at least
one station is turned ON.
Only after Overflow Delay or Underflow Delay has elapsed, Life Plus starts testing for
Meter Overflow or for Meter Underflow.
Note: Meter Overflow and Meter Underflow are tested during a fixed period of time
of 1 minute.
For best use, for Overflow and Underlow detection select a Water Meter that can
generate at least 10 pulses/minute for the minimum expected flow rate, making sure
the pulses/minute will not exceed 190 at the maximum expected flow rate.

Meter Loss

Life Plus starts testing for Meter Loss the moment all stations are OFF after at least
one station was ON, regardless of MV, if enabled.
Note: Meter Loss test is tested during a period of time set by the user.
It is possible to control the irrigation Programs when Meter Overflow, Underflow or
Loss becomes Active.
