OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
POOL ELECTRIC PUMP POOL SERIES
4. PIPE ASSEMBLY
Suction and discharge piping should be equal to or larger in diameter than the pump inlet.
Avoid traps as, in addition to affecting efficiency, they prevent complete emptying. Suction and dischar-
ge pipes must not rest on the pump in any case.
Seal all connectors and joints tightly. Avoid any dripping on the motor, which will inevitably damage it.

5. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

The electrical installation action must have a multiple separation system with contacts opening by at
least 3 mm. The electrical installation must refer to national wiring standards.
For continuous protection against possible electric shock, this unit must be mounted on the base in
accordance with the installation instructions.
The pump must be powered by an isolating transformer or supplied via a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA. The supply cable shall comply with EMC
standards (2). Single-phase motors have built-in thermal protection. The electrical connection must be
carried out by qualified personnel in strict accordance with the "EN60335-2-4 1" standard. Make sure
that the equipotential bonding between the pool and the pump is correctly between 2.5 and 6 mm2 and
is equipped with the appropriate receptacle for the terminal.

6. BEFORE USE

Check that the pump shaft rotates freely.
Check that the mains voltage and frequency match the nameplate.
They must be equipped with a system to prevent the pump from starting if there is no minimum water
level.
Check the direction of rotation of the motor, which should match that indicated on the fan cover.
If the motor does not start, try to locate the problem in the table of common errors and possible solu-
tions provided below.
THE PUMP MUST NEVER RUN DRY.
