Mounting Plate / Wall Mount
VERIFY WALL CONSTRUCTION
CAUTION! Adequate wall construction is required
to support the weight of loaded Mackinac products.
MINIMUM REQUIRED WALL CONSTRUCTIONS:
Drywall with Metal Studs
- Must be at least 25 ga. (0.018" min. thk.) 33 ksi steel studs 1.5" x 3.5"
- Studs on maximum 24" centers
- Must be at least 5/8" thick Type X gypsum drywall (per ASTMC36,
ASTMC1396, and CAN/CSA-A82.27M)
- Must have a secondary 24" high metal stud backed up so that both
open sides face each other, secured back to back to the secondary stud.
- Secure wood blocking (1-1/2" x 5-1/2" stud grade SPF, DF-L or Hem-Fir)
to the metal studs.
- The upper wood blocking is to be 24" from the floor. The lower wood
blocking is to be SECURELY FASTENED TO THE FLOOR.
- FOR MIN. BLOCKING SHOWN USE THE 5/16 OR #20 FLATHEAD
WITH 1.5" OF ENGAGEMENT INTO THE WOOD BLOCKING.

- Stud grade SPF, DF-L or Hem-Fir 1.5" x 3.5"
- Studs on maximum 24" centers
- Must be at least 5/8" thick Type X gypsum drywall (per ASTMC36,
ASTMC1396, and CAN/CSA-A82.27M)
- Secure wood blocking (1-1/2" x 5-1/2" stud grade SPF, DF-L or Hem-Fir)
to the wood studs.
- The upper wood blocking is to be 24" from the floor. The lower wood
blocking is to be SECURELY FASTENED TO THE FLOOR.
- FOR MIN. BLOCKING SHOWN USE THE 5/16 OR #20 FLATHEAD
WITH 1.5" OF ENGAGEMENT INTO THE WOOD BLOCKING.

personal injury. Read entire Assembly Direction for your product mounting
configuration. Verify all walls meet minimum required construction guidelines before
beginning installation. Install ALL fasteners required. Obtain assembly directions
