Try to hold the pinpointer steady and press the balance button when the
LED light has turned white and the vibration intensity is at its highest.
Then the pinpointer will be rebalanced and the display sensitivity will
decrease. At this point, the LED light will not come on and the unit will no
longer vibrate. This means that the search radius has become smaller.
6
Please move the tip of the research probe closer to the coin again. The LED
light and the vibration alarm will then react again and the pinpointer must
be balanced again at the end.
7
The automatic balance function is of great importance. The tare in the air
and the display sensitivity are at their highest, when the pinpointer is at
its furthest from metallic objects in the ground. When the pinpointer
is balanced close to the metallic object or in difficult environmental
conditions, the search radius is automatically reduced, allowing more
accurate location of the object.
8
The pinpointer is waterproof, which means you can also use it very
effectively under water.
FIELD OPERATION
After you have familiarised yourself with the basic functions of the
pinpointer, you can carry out field operations outdoors. Outdoor field
operation is relatively complex as the soil composition in the search area
and the composition, size, shape and degree of oxidation of the metal in the
ground will influence your search result. The following chapter only contains
the general steps for field searching. Repeated practice with the device is
necessary to gain experience and thus achieve good search results.

In general, the pinpointer should be used together with a metal detector.
In order to search with higher accuracy, a metal detector usually has to be
moved from side to side , which means the exact target position is often
not precisely determinable and thus the excavation is often very time-
consuming. The pinpointer can be used to determine the exact position of
a metal object.
