Limitations on Use

Strictly obey the following limitations on use.
Failure to do so could lead to injury or death!
The thermal imaging camera cannot see through glass or water. Shiny
and smooth surfaces such as metal, glass etc. will reflect thermal
images and may cause the operator to be disorientated if not properly
trained in the use of the camera.
It is not recommended that the thermal imaging camera run for
extended periods in high-heat conditions which exceed the technical
specifications; otherwise the thermal imaging camera may be
damaged and rendered inoperable.
Since the thermal imaging camera is not intrinsically safe, it must not
be used in explosive areas.

General Warnings and Cautions

Strictly obey the following warnings and cautions.
Failure to do so could lead to injury or death!
— Before using this thermal imaging camera, you should read and
fully understand the Instructions for Use. The thermal imaging
camera is not a life-supporting device and must not be used as
such.
— All users must familiarize themselves with the proper function and
the performance limits of the thermal imaging camera before use.
This includes general understanding of thermal images and how
they are interpreted.
We strongly recommend hands-on training by an approved
training officer or 3rd party organization designated by
Dräger Safety.
— The thermal imaging camera must only be used by persons who are
familiar with the use and the performance limits of the camera. This
includes use under simulated fire conditions (e.g. controlled fire
situations). If unauthorized or untrained persons who are not
familiar with the camera use the thermal imaging camera in
hazardous environments, this could result in serious injuries or
even death.
— Verify that the thermal imaging camera is working properly and
check the rechargeable battery level before use or before entering
a hazardous environment. Only enter hazardous environments with
a fully charged rechargeable battery (check the battery icon).
— Users must always be aware of the battery duration time. Leave all
hazardous environments immediately once the battery warning
display appears. Failure to observe these stipulations can result in
the camera failing in the hazardous environment, which could result
in serious injuries or even death.
