1.2 REQUIRED (ACTIVE) VOLTAGE DV-14
To connect the DV-14 you will preferably need a
'clean' group of at least 15 Amp. A 'clean' group
means that this group will only be used by the
DV-14. If you do not have a(n) (extra) 'clean'
group we advise you to have the DV-14 installed
by a certified installer.
The DV-14 has a 15 Amp (thermal) fuse.
This fuse turns off the DV-14 automatically in
case of an overload and / or a short circuit.
1.3 INSTALLATION OF THE DV-14
Remove the front panel of the DV-14 housing.
At each corner of the housing you will find a
fixing hole, which enables you to mount the
housing on a (flat) surface with 4 screws.
CAUTION!
The analogue timer is a sensitive part of the
DV-14, and is not resistant to hard shocks.
• Place the DV-14 close to your 'clean' group
At the bottom of the DV-14 you will find a
grounded (230V) connection cord

• Install, if needed, a grounded outlet onto your
'clean' group.
• Plug the cord into the outlet of your 'clean'
group.
• Your DV-14 is now connected to the mains
voltage.
1.4 CONNECTING EQUIPMENT TO THE DV-14
You can connect 4 x 600 watt or 5 x 400 watt
fittings to your DV-14.
In steps 1.2 and 1.3 you have;
• Connected your DV-14 to a 'clean' group,
• Mounted it on a flat surface,
• Connected it to the mains voltage.
Now the electrical ballasts (fittings) will have
to be connected to the DV-14. Please read the
installation manual carefully before you connect
the electrical ballasts, In order to connect them
properly.
If the electrical ballasts have been properly
connected there will be a 230V cord on each
of the electrical ballasts. Plug all the cords of
the electrical ballasts into the 4 power outlets
(sockets) on the sides of the DV-14. You now
have connected the electrical ballasts to the
DV-14.
1.5 ADJUSTING THE DV-14 FOR USE
The DV-14 is now ready for use; we only have to
adjust the time.
• Remove the plastic cap of the time switch.
• On the right side of the clock you will find a
3-position switch.
