USE
•
Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time.
•
When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth.
•
Grease the plates with butter, margarine or cooking fat.
•
Close and plug in : the red and green pilot lights will come on to indicate that the
appliance is switched on.
•
The green pilot light will go off when the cooking temperature is reached (during use,
this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature).
•
Open and pour the correct amount of waffle batter inside the molds.
•
Close and lock the appliance while cooking.
•
Your mug waffles will be baked in 4 to 5 minutes or longer to suit your taste.
•
Open and remove the mug waffles using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a
metal knife as this may damage the non-stick coating.
•
When all the batter is baked, unplug and let completely cool down the appliance.
HINTS AND RECIPE
•
Always preheat the appliance before use.
•
Flavoured butter may also be used to grease the plates.
•
For each mug cake use around 30ml of batter.
•
The less batter you use, the crispier the mug cake will be !
•
Try to pour the same quantities in each molds for an even cooking time.
•
Do not open the lid during the 2 firsts minutes of the baking.
Sweet Mug Waffles:
For 4 mug waffles:
½ Tablespoon sugar
130gr of white flour
240 ml milk
1 egg

Mix the dry ingredients in one bowl and the liquid ones in another.
•
Stir the liquid ingredient into the dry ones until smooth.
•
Bake in a pre-heated appliance until golden and crispy (4-5 minutes).
CLEANING
•
Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
•
Wipe the outside only with a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or
grease enters the cooling slots.
•
Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
•
Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this
will damage the finish.
•
Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
