listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
Save all w arnings and instruc-
tions for future reference.
The term power tool in the warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
( c o r d l e s s ) p o w e r t o o l .
Cordless grinder safety w arnings
Safety w arnings common for grinding, sanding,
wire brushing, or cutting-o operations:
1.
This pow er tool is intended to function as a
grinder, sander, wire brush, or cut-o tool. Read
all safety w arnings, instructions, illustrations
and specifications provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Operations such as polishing or hole cutting
are not to be performed w ith this pow er tool.
O p e r a t i o n s f o r w h i c h t h e p o w e r t o o l w a s n o t d e s i g n e d
may create a hazard and cause personal injury.

Do not convert this po w er tool to operate in
a way which is not specifically designed and
specified by the tool manufacturer. S u c h a c o n -
version may result in a loss of control and cause
serious personal injury.
4.
Do not use accessories w hich are not spe-
cifically designed and specified by the tool
manufacturer. Just because the accessory can
be attached to your power tool, it does not assure
s a f e o p e r a t i o n .

The rated speed of the accessory must be at
least equal to the maximum speed marked on
the po w er tool. A c c e s s o r i e s r u n n i n g f a s t e r t h a n
their rated speed can break and fly apart.

The outside diameter and the thickness of your
accessory must be w ithin the capacity rating
of your po w er tool. Incorrectly sized accessories
cannot be adequately guarded or controlled.

The dimensions of the accessory mounting
must fit the dimensions of the mounting hard-
w are of the po w er tool. A c c e s s o r i e s t h a t d o n o t
m a t c h t h e m o u n t i n g h a r d w a r e o f t h e p o w e r t o o l
will run out of balance, vibrate excessively and
may cause loss of control.
Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each

use inspect the accessory such as abrasive
w heels for chips and cracks, backing pad for
cracks, tear or excess w ear, w ire brush for
loose or cracked w ires. If po w er tool or acces-
sory is dropped, inspect for damage or install
an undamaged accessory. After inspecting and
installing an accessory, position yourself and
bystanders a w ay from the plane of the rotating
accessory and run the po w er tool at maximum
no-load speed for one minute. D a m a g e d a c c e s -
sories will normally break apart during this test
t i m e .
9.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Depending on application, use face shield,
safety goggles or safety glasses. As appro-
priate, w ear dust mask, hearing protectors,
gloves and w orkshop apron capable of stop-
ping small abrasive or w orkpiece fragments.
The eye protection must be capable of stopping
flying debris generated by various applications.
T h e d u s t m a s k o r r e s p i r a t o r m u s t b e c a p a b l e
of filtrating particles generated by the particular
application. Prolonged exposure to high intensity
noise may cause hearing loss.
10. Keep bystanders a safe distance a w ay from
w ork area. Anyone entering the w ork area
must w ear personal protective equipment.
Fragments of workpiece or of a broken accessory
may fly away and cause injury beyond immediate
a r e a o f o p e r a t i o n .
11.
Hold the po w er tool by insulated gripping
surfaces only, w hen performing an operation
w here the cutting tool may contact hidden
w iring. C o n t a c t w i t h a " l i v e " w i r e w i l l a l s o m a k e
e x p o s e d m e t a l p a r t s o f t h e p o w e r t o o l " l i v e " a n d
c o u l d g i v e t h e o p e r a t o r a n e l e c t r i c s h o c k .
