Start-up and use
SMART MODE SMART
The SMART SYSTEM switches the compressor on and off depending on whether or not there
is a guest in the room. Use of the SMART SYSTEM requires an energy-saving device: a card
support designed to save energy installed in the room.
The guest enters the room and inserts the card into its holder; the Energy Saver device sends a
signal to the SMART SYSTEM indicating the presence of a guest in the room and the compres-
sor in the appliance switches off (the products inside it remain at the set temperature for a long
period due to the cooling effect of the cold plate). When the guest leaves the room and removes
the card from the Energy Saver support, another signal is sent to the SMART SYSTEM and the
appliance turns back on. If the guest remains in the room for several hours and the cooling ca-
pacity of the eutectic plate is depleted, the appliance switches on automatically to maintain the
products at the set temperature. If the room remains unoccupied for a long period, the appliance
operates in energy-saving mode.
When used in SMART mode, the interior light in the appliance switches on for three minutes
when the guest enters the room.
Please note!
With the SMART SYSTEM operating mode, the timer and standard operating modes are not used.
