Re- / Calibration Checks - Testing Instructions
A) Function testing
A function test can only be carried out on a person or with a
suitable simulator.
B) Testing of the Density of Pressure Circuit and Divergence
in the Pressure Indication
Please note:
a) When in the measurement mode pressure is increased to
above 320 mmHg, the quick release valve is triggered and
the pressure circuit opened. When during testing pressure
is increased to above 320 mmHg the measurement display
will flash.
b) Prior to testing the connector piece has to be removed from
the cuff tube. Then the short connecting head of the connector
plug – up to now attached to the unit and its corresponding
socket at the unit – has to be attached to the cuff tube, and
the long connecting head of the connector piece to be inser-
ted into the unit.
Lastly the pump ball is to be fitted into the pressure circuit.

1.) Remove batteries.
2.) Hold START-button pressed down and insert batteries.
3.) Release START-button.
4.) Testing for divergence of Pressure indication and Density of
5.) Switch off unit and re-establish all normal connections.
C) Safety Seal
Testing
The unit is now ready for testing. The displays of SYS, DIA and
PUL now show the actual pressure.
Pressure circuit (setting time for cuff at least 30 seconds) can
now be carried out in the usual manner.
As a measure to safeguard the correct calibration of the
BP unit the upper and lower parts of the housing can be
connected with a safety seal. Alternatively, a hole drilled for
the connecting screw at the back of the unit can be sealed
for safety.
