It is possible to adjust the angle of the support column (5) in relation to
the wheel type - in order to do so, pull out the locking pin (9) and adjust
the column (5) to the desired angle and then lock it in this position with
the pin (9).
IMPORTANT: as the name implies, the column and support arms (2 and
5) are only there to support the wheel resting on the machine and not to
take the full weight of the wheel.
f)
Raise the wheel by turning one of the stroke gears (7) in the "Up"
direction.
g) Once the wheel nuts are removed, the wheel can be safely pulled off the
hub threads.
h) The loaded dolly can be safely maneuvered by supporting the auxiliary
rods (6).
CAUTION: do not leave the unit unattended with the wheel loaded and
without the brakes locked.
3.3.2 Unloading the wheel from the unit
Once the wheel is seated on the hub bolts and secured with nuts or
transported to a storage location, the wheel can be unloaded from the unit.
a) Loosen the support arm (2) - to do this release the adjustment locks (1
and 3).
b) Extend the unit by turning one of the stroke gears in the "down"
direction.
c)
Adjust the support arm (2) so that it does not catch on the top of the
wheel when the dolly moves out from under it.
3.4.
Cleaning and maintenance
a)
Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
b)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
c)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
d)
Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any
damages.
e)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
f)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. a wire brush or metal spatula) for
cleaning, as these may damage the surface of the material from which the
unit is made.
g)
Once in a while or as needed, lubricate the wheel swivels with a lubricating
oil, e.g. silicone oil, taking care not to get it directly on the wheels.
