LEMONADE ICED TEA
INGREDIENTS:
•
6 cups of water
•
9 tea bags (should remove bags and keep only the ground)
•
¾ to 1 ¼ cups honey or sugar
•
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
•
Lemon slices, optional
DIRECTIONS:
1. Open the water tank cover and fill the water tank with drinking water. The water level should
not exceed the MAX level as indicated on the water gauge.
2. Place the tea funnel into the funnel support, make sure it is assembled correctly; otherwise the
iced tea and iced coffee maker cover cannot be closed. (Fig. 1)
3. Place permanent filter basket in the funnel. (Fig. 2)
4. Add the 9 tea bags ground into filter basket.
5. Fill the glass carafe with ice cubes, add the frozen lemonade concentrate and the honey or sugar.
DO NOT exceed the ICE level marking.
Note: If you want to use cold water instead of ice, fill the glass carafe with water to the WATER
level marking, not the ICE level marking, or the glass carafe will overflow once the hot tea is
brewed into the glass carafe.
6. Place the glass carafe on the drip tray. Tea can be brewed with the cover lid in place.
7. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
8. Adjust the brew strength control to your desired strength, mild to the left and strong to the right.
(Fig. 7)
9. Press the power button. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the power is ON.
Note: Unplugging the appliance WILL NOT immediately stop the brewing. Allow several
minutes for the water to flow into the pitcher before removing it.
10. Once the brew cycle starts, the appliance will brew all the water from the water tank before
automatically turning OFF.
Note: DO NOT attempt to press the power button to interrupt or stop the brew cycle. Repeatedly
pressing the power button to interrupt the brew cycle could cause damage to the appliance.
11. Wait until the brewing cycle is complete. Once brewing is finished, remove the glass carafe
and serve.
12. Optional, add lemon slices into the iced tea jar.
13. Turn the iced tea and iced coffee maker off and disconnect the power supply when not in use.
Note: Unplug the iced tea and iced coffee maker will stop the brewing. Allow several minutes
for the water to flow into the glass carafe before removing from the drip tray.
14. After the appliance has cooled, open the iced tea and iced coffee maker cover and remove the
funnel and filter baskets. Discard the used leaves or bags and rinse thoroughly in warm water.
