If the accessories that come into contact
with water, espresso or milk have resi-
dues of detergent, the taste of the es-
presso will be negatively affected.
Therefore, rinse these parts thoroughly
with clean water if cleaning with deter-
gent is necessary.
After every espresso
1. Remove the portafilter 16 from the
brewing head 14.
2. Knock the espresso powder out of the
filter 1/2 and dispose of it in an organ-
ic waste bin. If necessary, you can re-
move residues with a teaspoon.
3. Rinse the filter 1/2 and the portafil-
ter 16 under hot water and then dry
them.
After frothing milk
NOTE: always ensure that the opening of
the steam nozzle 10 remains clean. Re-
maining milk residue is not only unhygienic.
It can also quickly clog the small opening.
1. Wipe the steam nozzle 10 with a
clean cloth to remove any milk residue.
2. Turn the dial 4 again briefly in the di-
rection of the symbol
emerges. This removes milk residues
from inside the steam nozzle.
Drip tray
The drip tray 12 must be emptied before the
float 11 protrudes upwards through the drip
grid 13 (see illustration). In any case, you
should clean the drip tray once a day.
1. Remove the drip grid 13.
2. Lift the drip tray 12 upwards and out.
3. Empty and clean these accessories by
hand with mild detergent.
4. Dry all parts before reinserting them.
Daily
 Unplug the mains plug 7 from the wall
socket before cleaning the espresso ma-
chine.
1. Empty the water tank 6 and rinse it sev-
eral times with clean water.
2. Wipe the brewing head 14 with a
clean, damp cloth. Also clean the rim
until steam
around the brewing head.
NOTE: if necessary, use a little detergent.
Clean thoroughly several times with a cloth
moistened only with clear water.
3. Wipe the outside of the device with a
damp cloth.
4. Dry all parts with a cloth.
