CALIBRATION AND MEASUREMENT
1. Turn on the meter by pressing the ON/OFF button (6).
2. Calibrate the unit:
- Place the measuring head in the air so that it is about 10 cm from the
surface or nearby objects.
- Press the MEAS button (8) to start the measurement.
- The LCD will display CAL and then show the humidity value. The value
should be less than 0.5. If the result is higher, restart the unit and repeat the
calibration.
3. Put the measuring head perpendicularly to the tested material and press
firmly. The measurement value will be shown on the display.
NOTE: When measuring close to corner areas, maintain a distance of
approximately 8-10 cm from the corners.
Tips:
- to keep the measurement value on the screen for 50 seconds, press the
HOLD button (9) (after this time the meter will switch off automatically),
- Press ZERO (2) button to erase the current value,
- Before performing a measurement in a new location, the meter has to be
calibrated again.
ALARM SETTING MODE
To set the alarm, you need to:
1) Take a measurement and stop it in HOLD mode (9),
2) Press the SETUP button (7),
3) The display shows the RISK status symbol (e),
4) Use UP (3) and DOWN (4) buttons to adjust threshold (adjustable from 0 to 50,
default is 30),
5) press ENTER (5) to confirm the alarm,
6) the display shows the WET moisture status symbol (f),
7) using UP (3) and DOWN (4) buttons adjust threshold (adjustable from 50 to 100,
default is 60),
8) press ENTER (5) to confirm the alarm and return to HOLD mode.
Caution! If the measured value of humidity exceeds:
- the risk status alarm level the unit will beep once every 2 seconds,
- the humidity alarm level the unit will beep four times every 1 second.
Working with the unit
