SAFETY DEVICES

• Safety thermostat
The bain marie models have a safety thermostat which is activated when the temperature exceeds a certain
value, disconnecting the gas supply.
The limiter switch must be restored by a specialised technician, after removing the front panel and
pressing the red button on the safety thermostat.
• Pressure gauge (in Bain Marie pots)
The pressure gauge indicates the pressure of the steam inside the Bain Marie chamber.
• Pressure valve (in Bain Marie pots)
The pressure valve controls the pressure in the Bain Marie chamber, allowing the air to leave when it
heats up and permitting the entrance of air when it cools.
• Safety valve
If the pressure in the Bain Marie chamber is more than 0.5 bar, this allows the steam to exit to the
exterior.
