Wire Pulling up to 6000 lb (26.7 kN) with
Main Capstan
1. Fish the rope through the conduit.
2. Set up the cable puller's boom. Refer to the illustra-
tions and instructions in the "Nose Operation" and
"Boom Operation" sections.
Set up the cable puller so that the rope will approach
the capstan at an angle of 90° (±5°). Angles outside
of this range may cause the rope to overlap.

3. Set up the anti-overlap guide arm and rope ramp as
shown:
a. Feed the rope between the pegs of the anti-
overlap guide arm.
b. Wind several wraps of rope around the main
capstan.
4. Plug the puller into a 20 amp grounded outlet.
Turn on the power switch/circuit breaker.

5. The lights will cycle through a power up sequence
with only the "0" light remaining lit. The default
startup speed is high. The high speed light will be
lit. To change the speed to low, double tap the foot
switch. The low speed light will illuminate. Double
tap the foot switch again to change back to
high speed.

6. After the foot switch is depressed, the green light
indicating 0 lb will be lit. As the force climbs, an
additional light illuminates for every 600 lb increase
in pulling force.
