BEFORE INITIAL USE

1.
Remove all parts & accessories. Dispose of packaging.
2.
Wipe the cooking plates with a damp sponge or cloth.
WARNING: DO NOT run water directly onto the cooking surface. DO NOT immerse the
appliance or power cord in water or any other liquids or place in the dishwasher.
3.
Dry thoroughly.
4.
Wipe the cover with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
5.
Lightly grease the baking surfaces before the unit is used for the first time. Use the appliance
for about 10 minutes with the cover closed. Then wipe it down with a damp cloth.
DO NOT eat the first waffles you make with the Waffle Maker.

HOW TO USE

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
WARNING: DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Always use the handle of the product. Use protective
oven mitts or gloves to avoid burns or serious personal injuries.
NOTE: Never use metal utensils such as forks, knives with this product to avoid scratches on the
non-stick surface. Only use plastic, rubber, wooden, or silicone cooking utensils
A.
Place the product on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
B.
Plug the power cord into a standard 120-volt AC electrical outlet. POWER light (red) will
illuminate, indicating the product is heating.
NOTE: The READY-TO-COOK light (green) cycles on and off indicating the unit is preheating.
C.
The READY-TO-COOK light indicator (green) will illuminate, indicating the appliance is
ready for cooking.
D.
Open the cover and pour approximately ¾ cup (96 g) waffle batter onto the bottom plate
and close the cover. For best results, pour batter in a circle around the outer edge.
NOTE: Batter will expand rapidly inside the appliance. DO NOT over-fill as the batter will
seep out over the edge.
NOTE: DO NOT open the cover while steam is escaping. Cooking time may vary depending
on the type of batter used and the desired level of browning.
E.
When steam has stopped escaping, it is an indication that waffle is cooked. You may cook
for a longer period of time to achieve the desired crispiness. When waffle is done use
silicone utensils to remove from the grids.
NOTE: The READY-TO-COOK light (green) may cycle on and off during cooking. This is normal
and it indicates that the thermostat is maintaining the unit at the proper cooking temperature.
F.
Close the cover and wait for READY-TO-COOK light (green) to illuminate again before
preparing another batch of waffles.
G.
Unplug appliance from electrical outlet after cooking is done. Allow it to cool down
before cleaning.
