Receiver Front and Rear
1. HDMI Out: Connect to an HDMI display.
2. USB Mouse/Keyboard Out: Connect to a USB mouse and keyboard (LEDs illuminate when a mouse
and a keyboard is detected).
3. DC 12V: Connect the 12VDC 1A PSU to an AC wall outlet and securely connector to the Transmitter
or Receiver. This is only required at one side of the installation.
4. RESET: Press the button to reboot the Receiver.
5. CAT OUT: Connect the Transmitter using a single Cat.6 or above cable for all data signals. Please do
not connect to a network port.
6. Status LED: Illuminates when a valid HDMI signal output is detected.
Important! Before starting the installation, please ensure that all devices are powered off.
1. Connect an HDMI source device to the Transmitter unit using an HDMI cable.
2. Connect one end of the Cat.6 cable to the CAT Out port on the Transmitter and the other end to the
CAT In port of the Receiver. U/UTP or F/UTP installation cables are recommended.
3. Use another HDMI cable to connect an HDMI display device to the HDMI output port on the Receiver
unit.
4. Plug the DC power supply into either the Transmitter or Receiver and switch on.
5. Power on the source device and display to complete the installation.
In addition to the installation steps outlined above this HDMI 4K30 KVM Extender can also provide the
following additional/optional functionality:
USB
The Transmitter feature a USB Type A port for the connection to a USB source such as a PC or laptop.
The Receiver feature two USB 1.1 Type A ports to connect a keyboard and a mouse to control the source
connected to the Transmitter.
EDID Management
If a local display is connected to the HDMI Out port on the Transmitter, the source device will automatically
learn the EDID of the local display, otherwise the source device will get the inbuilt EDID (4K30Hz 4:4:4).
