Maintenance
• Before inspecting, cleaning or carrying out service to the Gas Brushcutter, turn off the motor. Wait until all the mobile parts
stop. Disconnect the spark plug cable and separate it from the spark plug. Otherwise you could suffer severe injuries and / or
damage to the tool.
General Cleansing
• Using a brush or compressed air, clean and clear away
the ventilation slots in the starter unit, when necessary.
• In the same manner, clean periodically the motor
cylinder fins and the fan fins to remove any dirt.
Otherwise, the motor can get damaged due to
overheating.
Air Filter Cleansing
• Loosen the cap knob and remove the air filter cap.
• Remove the air filter.
• Depending on the time is used, clean the air filter
superficially tapping it against a flat and smooth surface to
release most particles.
• You can also use compressed air. Clean both sides of
the air filter.
• For a thorough cleansing, clean the air filter in soapy,
lukewarm water. Leave it drying completely before setting
it back in the Gas Brushcutter.
• Set back the air filter. Verify it matches its position.
• Clean the air filter as frequently as needed to keep it
always clean. Otherwise the motor's efficiency will be
diminished.
Fuel Filter
• Check frequently the fuel filter.
• If the filter is dirty, replace it.
• In the inside of the fuel tank is dirty, rinse it with gasoline.
Carburetor Adjustment
• Carry out the carburetor adjustment in a
Authorized Service Center.
• An incorrect setting will damage the motor and make
the Warranty void.
Blade
• Check and keep the blade always in good repair.
• Hone if necessary using a flat file. Use care no to change
the blade shape and edge to assure the good performance
of the Gas Brushcutter.

Spark plug Replacing
• The motor uses a Champion RCJ-6Y spark plug with
0.025" electrode gap. Replace the spark plug with a
similar one, once a year.
• The motor shall be completely cold. Using a spark plug
wrench, loosen the worn spark plug to the left. Remove it.
• Insert the new spark plug and tighten to the left by
hand.
DANGER
• Use care with the spark plug thread. Otherwise the
motor can get seriously damaged.
• Tighten half-turn with the included wrench.
Exhaust and Muffler Cleansing
• Depending the type of fuel, the amount of oil used
and / or the conditions of the depends of the type use,
the exhaust and muffler can get clogged with carbon
deposits. If you notice loss of power, remove those
deposits to restore performance. Go to a
Authorized Service Center to carry
out this service.
• The muffler is built with a spark arrest scree inside the
muffler. After using the tool for long periods of time the
screen gets dirty and the muffler will need to be replaced.
Go to a
carry out this replacement.
DANGER
• Double check constantly the muffler has
the supports duly fastened and that they do not show
damage or corrosion. If you find a leak stop the Gas
Brushcutter and take it immediately to a
Authorized Service Center to be
repaired.
Lubrication
• The inside of the cutting head gearbox is lubricated with
lithium-based multiple use grease. Add grease every 25
hours use.
• To add grease set the grease device into the nipple (A)
and pump twice.
