VLT® DriveMotor FCP 106
Installationsanleitung
1.10 Motor-mount Installation of Drive
Procedure
1.
Prepare a customized gasket to fit between the motor adapter plate and the motor.
Requirements for gasket:
-
Ensure that the gasket fulfils the ingress protection requirement.
-
Maintain the ground connection between the drive and the motor. The drive is grounded to the motor adapter plate.
Use a wire connection between motor and drive and ensure metallic contact between the motor adapter plate and
the motor.
-
Use a UL recognized material for the gasket, then UL listing or recognition is required for the assembled product.
2.
Drill holes in the adapter plate so that it fits on the motor. See step 1 in the Illustrations section.
3.
Crimp the wires for PE, motor terminals U, V, W, and motor thermistor M
4.
Fit the gasket between the motor and the motor bracket, see step 2.2 in the Illustrations section.
5.
Place the adapter plate with the motor bracket on top of the motor, see step 2.3 in the Illustrations section.
6.
Tighten the 4 screws on the motor bracket, see step 2.4 in the Illustrations section.
7.
Fit the motor connector gasket on the motor bracket, see step 2.5 in the Illustrations section.
8.
Attach the crimped wires to the motor connector, see step 2.6 in the Illustrations section.
9.
Connect the motor connector the VLT® DriveMotor, see step 2.7 in the Illustrations section.
10.
Tighten the VLT® DriveMotor to the motor.
1.11 Wiring to Mains and Control Terminals
Check the wiring diagram and cable entries in step 3 and 4 in the Illustrations section.
Procedure
1.
Loosen the front cover screws, see step 5.1 in the Illustrations section.
2.
Remove the front cover, see step 5.1 in the Illustrations section.
3.
Mount cable glands fulfilling the requirements for the needed enclosure integrity.
4.
Connect the ground wires to the ground terminals via the cable glands, see step 5.2 in the Illustrations section.
5.
Connect the mains cable to terminals L1, L2, and L3 and tighten the screws, see step 5.2 in the Illustrations section.
6.
Attach control and relay terminals, see step 6 in the Illustrations section.
7.
Reassemble the cover and tighten the screws.

WIRING GUIDELINES
All wiring must comply with local and national regulations regarding cross-section and ambient temperature requirements.
Loose connections can cause equipment faults or reduced performance. Tighten the terminals according to the proper torque
value shown in the illustrations. For power connections, use copper wire with a minimum 70 °C (158 °F) rating. For aluminum
wires, see the design guide.
•
For fuse ratings, see step 7 in the Illustrations section.
•
For power cable specifications rated for 45 ºC (113 ºF) ambient temperature at 400 V, see step 8 in the Illustrations section.
