Terminal Box EX
Do not move or change the position of the Terminal Box.
•
The sheet metal protective cover should be in place when product is in operation.
•
Do not open the terminal box with explosive atmosphere present.
•
Do not rebuild or in any other way change the terminal box.
•
Ensure that only original spare parts are used.
•
Avoid covering the box with paint or other substances, which could reduce the thermal
dissipation.
•
Follow the general requirements of the EN 60079-17 regarding installation and
maintenance.

Installation
•
Fit the control system multi-wire cable to an available large cable gland. A 12G0.75 (12G
AWG16) with Ø8-17mm cable with wire end caps is recommended.
•
Ensure IP66 protection for the cable via the cable gland, and that the cable is installed with
proper strain relief.

NOTE! Use available connections to attach accessories. See figure 1. If accessories are
used, Make sure of the following:
•
A cable gland is used.
•
The cable is installed with proper strain relief.
•
The complete connection has IP66 protection.

Maintenance
•
Do not open terminal box when energized.
•
Ensure that the inside of the terminal box is kept free from dust during installation or
maintenance.
•
