• I. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on choosing this quality SCOTT product. Before use, please read the fol-
lowing instructions carefully and keep these instructions in safe custody. This specific prod-
uct line has been developed to offer you the best comfort and fit.
SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints arising from using the product for oth-
er purposes than that indicated in the present information notice, nor shall they be liable for
any damages and / o r losses.
• II. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
This SCOTT product is considered to be an item of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of
Category II and as such is subject to the requirements laid down by the Regulation EU 2 016 /
425 and Regulation (EU) 2 016 / 4 25 as brought into UK law and amended.
RELEVANT HARMONIZED STANDARDS
This product meets the testing and technical requirements set out by the standard EN 1 077 :
2007 "Helmets for alpine skiers and snowboarders" for alpine skiing and snowboarding hel-
mets (please refer to the labelling inside the product).

This product meets the testing and technical requirements set out by the standard EN
1077 : 2 007 and EN 1 2492 : 2 012 "Mountaineering equipment - Helmets for mountaineers -
Safety requirements and test methods".
• III. INTENDED USE AND LIMITATIONS
This SCOTT product is strictly limited for the respective use indicated by the pictograms on
the product (see chapter IV. Product Information). The intended and reasonably foreseeable
use of this product is solely : skiing, snowboarding or mountaineering.
A. RISK AGAINST WHICH THE PPE IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT
This SCOTT product is designed and manufactured to reduce the risk of injury to the skull
and part of the head covered by the helmet. It cannot protect your face, throat, neck, and spi-
nal column, or other body parts capable of being affected by an accident. The product does
not safeguard against other traumas and cannot always prevent death or long term disability.
B. LEVEL OF PROTECTION
According to EN 1 077 : 2 007, class A and class B helmets are for alpine skiers, snowboarders and
similar groups. Class A helmets offer comparatively more protection. Class B helmets may offer
greater ventilation and better hearing, but protect a smaller area of the head and give a lesser
degree of protection from penetration. All SCOTT alpine ski and snowboard helmets are class B.
C. PERFORMANCE RECORDED
According to standard EN 1 077 : 2 007 the peak acceleration of this helmet for each impact
measured in laboratory test conditions does not exceed 250 g .

According to standard EN 1 2492 : 2 012 the force transmitted to the head form for each impact
area (top, front, side, rear) measured in laboratory test conditions does not exceed 10kN.
