CLEANUP

Release system and spray gun pressure before
cleaning or performing maintenance on the gun.
Use only the cleaning solvent recommended by
the material manufacturer.
Never spray into an enclosed vessel (this will
create an explosive gas / air mixture).
Do not immerse the spray gun in solvent.

DAILY CLEANUP

1. Relieve spray gun and unit pressure.
2. Lock the spray gun by activating the trigger lock.
3. Unscrew the tip guard and remove air cap. Remove nozzle
from the nozzle cap and clean separately (see Cleaning /
Replacing the Tip).
4. Thoroughly flush the spray gun with the appropriate
cleaning solvent.
5. Relieve spray gun and unit pressure.
6. Lock the spray gun by activating the trigger lock.
7. Clean the gun body with a cloth dampened with the
appropriate cleaning solvent. Dry with a dry cloth.

MAINTENANCE

6.1

CLEANING / CHANGING THE FILTER

1. Relieve spray gun and unit pressure.
2. Lock the spray gun by activating the trigger lock.
3. Unscrew the filter housing by hand and remove.
4. Remove the filter.
5. Rinse the filter in a cleaning solvent or exchange with a
new filter.
6. Clean the filter housing and material inlet fitting with the
appropriate cleaning solvent.
7. Push the cone end of the new or cleaned filter into the into
the filter housing.
8. Make sure the spring and seal are in position in the material
inlet fitting and screw the material connector down tightly
again.
Make sure the correct filter is being used for the
i
tip and material being used (refer to the "Flat Tip
Chart" and the "XL-1 Reversible Airless Spray Tip"
sections).
