AliBrAtion

Before the roughness tester is used for the first time, it
must be calibrated with the assembled two-part surface
standard roughness plate (calibration gage 1.68 µm).
Open the slider in order to expose the measuring probe.
With the meter switched off, press the start/stop (1) and
power (2) buttons simultaneously to start the calibration
mode.

pERaTIoN
Use the function keys (1) to adjust the displayed value to
the reference value on the standard roughness plate (i.e.
1.68 µm).
Press the start/stop button (1) in order to perform the ref-
erence measurement within the measurement zone on
the standard roughness plate. The set value (e.g. 1.68 µm)
is shown in the display (3).
Press the power button (1) in order to quit calibration
mode and switch the meter off. Close the slider to protect
the measuring probe.
