OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
DEWATERING ELECTRIC PUMP XKS-P/PW SERIES
The pump must not be used in the following situations:
•
Temperature of the water to be suctioned > 35°C.
•
Dirty water with particles larger than 5 mm.
•
Continuous operation (e.g. fountain pump).
•
Corrosive, easily combustible, aggressive or explosive liquids (such as petrol, petroleum or nitro
thinner), salt water, oils and greases must not be pumped.
3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 - Automatic mode of the level switch:
The level switch (4) switches the pump on automatically when the water level exceeds the cut-off height
and water is pumped out. The level switch (4) switches the pump off again as soon as the water level
drops below the cut-off height.
1. Place the pump on a firm surface and use the rope tied through the hole in the manual displacement
(6) to submerge the pump in a well or fountain.
2. During automatic operation, make sure that the level switch (4) can move freely. Connect the power
cable (3) to the main plug.
Set the maximum and minimum cutting height: Push the cable of the level switch (4) towards the level
lock switch 5. Do not select a cable length that is too short so that the level switch 4 can be switched
on and off correctly.
3.2 - Manual mode of the level switch:
The pump can remain constantly running because it is switched on manually by lifting the level switch
(4) as shown in the figure below.

The cable length between the level switch (4) and the level switch lock
(5) shall always be at least 10 cm.
The shorter the length between the level switch (4) and the level switch
lock (5), the lower the cut-off height inside and the higher the cut-off
height outside.
