7.3 Clean the pump's primary screen
The primary screen must be regularly checked for contamination.
Contamination significantly reduces the pump performance.
•
Switch off filter system.
•
Close the shut-off valves in the pressure and suction pipe.
•
Select valve function "Closed".
•
Open the primary screen lid and remove the primary screen.
•
Remove coarse dirt from the screen.
•
Clean the screen under running water with a brush.
•
Reinsert the screen and close the lid. Make sure the lid sits correctly.
•
Select valve function "Filter".
•
Open the shut-off valves in the pressure and suction pipe.
•
Switch on the system.
•
Completely vent the filter tank at the vent valve.
7.4 Storing the filter tank over winter
To protect the filter tank and water-bearing components from frost, they must be emptied of water during
periods of frost.
•
To do this, remove the drain plug (15).
Please note, a little water may drip out of the drain.
•
Attach the supplied Gardena hose coupling (15.1). Seal it properly with Teflon tape.
•
Place the hose into a sufficiently-sized floor drain and open the aeration and ventilation
valve.
•
Reinstall the drain plug (15) properly.
NOTE
The pump may be damaged!
Do not switch on the pump during cleaning!
CAUTION
Procedures on technical systems by non-experts may lead to injuries and
material damage.
NOTE
Over 1,000 litres of water can flow out of the tank here.
